What is the difference between an Intern and a Co-Op Student?

Although very similar, there are unique differences between the two positions.

An Intern is a student who works at ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ part-time, around his/her course schedule, during the Winter/Spring or Fall terms. An intern can also be a student who works full-time during the summer term.

A Co-Op is a student who takes a semester off from school and works at ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ in line of taking courses that semester, full-time for 6-12 months.

Specific qualifications and requirements will be specified for each Intern and Co-Op job posting. Requirements that apply to all prospective interns and Co-Op students include the following:

  • Current enrollment at an accredited institution pursuing a bachelor's, master's, MBA or PhD degree and returning to school/university following ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ assignment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. Note: we do accept international students as long as they are able to receive CPT/OPT sponsorship from their university
